I agree with Brizz89, very few hardcore bands truly deserve it. In the early '80s, they all sounded the same. The great ones are really great, though.

I definitely prefer it to Slanted & Enchanted, but calling it "one of the greatest albums in rock history" seems a bit exaggerated. The influences you mention are right, especially Fall, I would say. Wasn't there already a review?
