Afterhours Quello Che Non C'è
Voto:
Yes, but Afterhours are an underground group that isn't that underground. Who doesn't know them? Anyone wanting to pose a bit as alternative and listen to "cool" music listens to: Marlene Kuntz, De Andrè, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley AND AFTERHOURS. Moreover, they don't really offer anything substantially new; they're fine for those who don't know the bands they were inspired by.

Well, I have to admit I was a bit aggressive too. Anyway, I can only agree with what you're saying now, peace :)

The Clash, calm down. I didn’t misunderstand; you expressed yourself poorly: "this album reached 5th place in the charts... that's already something important." NO, it’s not important at all!

Well, never mind. BeatBoy, you might want to try krautrock to start broadening your horizons. If you like "A Saucerful of Secrets," you should also enjoy the psychedelic kraut bands.

90s: try something by Roy Montgomery, like the Dadamah album for example. Psychedelia updated for our times. And then Spiderland by Slint is an album that can't not appeal. Let me know what you think, bye.

xBeatBoy - The 80s: have you tried Husker Du and Gun Club? They are quite accessible. The former transcend pretty much anything that was done in pop in the 60s and draw from the Byrds and the Beatles. The latter do roots rock blues inspired by Jim Morrison. You might like them; in fact, you SHOULD like them.

But who gives a damn about the chart position! Sorry theclash, but if you like the record, GREAT. If you don’t like it, THAT'S FINE TOO. The chart position really doesn’t mean a thing and we should all stop caring about sales rankings. As for the fact that we’re looking for gold abroad, that’s true because in Italy there’s very little gold and the few bands that are worth it get published by foreign labels because they’re not given any attention here. Also, Afterhours ARE NOT innovative: Velvet Underground + Sonic Youth + Mercury Rev, what’s innovative about all that? Millions of bands do it. And abroad, they do it better, there’s no denying it...

Oops, the thing is that after listening to it I felt compelled to comment. I think I’ll give it another listen; almost everyone says it’s amazing. Anyway, from now on, I’m on strike!

Here, an album I listened to. I agree with the review, it doesn't say much to me. I won't vote because I might be wrong (I've only heard it once and the genre isn't really what I listen to more often). PS: what is a THEREMIN??
