I'm replying to Neo1988: here we go again with someone quoting the 1800s and Beethoven because they think there's nothing today besides Ligabue: guys, there's a ton of fantastic music out there, open your eyes, don't limit yourselves to Ligabue and Vasco!

Hi fiore.88, I don’t condemn Liga’s musical change; it just doesn’t sit well with me as a whole. Of course, after constantly hearing that Ligabue is a great artist, you eventually start to believe it, especially if you’re young and not very familiar with music. There’s nothing wrong with listening to him if you like it, but to say he has produced valuable work is quite a stretch. As for the discussion about him being very popular: little by little, Ligabue crafted a persona, inspired mainly by foreign artists, reworking them to make them accessible to a broad Italian audience; there’s nothing artistic in that. Record companies simply relied on his easy “appeal” and turned him into a national phenomenon.
