Yes, Zarathustra, but in my opinion, it's limiting to consider a guitarist merely as the sum of his technical skills plus his compositional abilities, as you wrote above. Hendrix was certainly an inferior composer to Page, but as a guitarist, he remains superior. This is because he had a very different attitude, not strictly tied to melody or the beauty of sound. Jimi's greatness lies not just in his technique (which has since been surpassed by others) but in the extreme and extreme role he assigned to the guitar, as an instrument that is not only communicative but "more." And noise guitarists know something about this, as technique is definitely not their strong point. Hendrix cast a shadow over the future of rock, while Page was a great guitarist in a more traditional way.

Acc pretazzo, but is this record really that deep? It seemed to me like a hardcore LP without too many pretensions, definitely furious and extreme but it didn’t say much to me. I’ll give it another listen…
