Indeed, the majority of great artists do not live off music...

When we talk about "commercial music," we refer to that type of music created and sold solely for the purpose of making money. In that case, the music is shaped according to the tastes of the listeners; it does not reflect the true personality of the artist. On the contrary, there are artists who express original ideas in an album, have something to say, and do so without compromises, then decide to sell the album. There’s a big difference! (excuse the interruption)

And then there are the Meat Puppets, Sonic Youth (Sister and Evol), Dinosaur Jr (their two best albums), Bad Brains, Opal, and so on and so forth....
Dead C Harsh 70's Reality

I listened to it again last night, immense, far from Twin Infinitives! It felt like traveling through space at the end of times; this is one of the most forward-thinking records of the '90s. Those New Zealanders really know their stuff; now I've discovered an independent label called "Clebrate Psi Phenomenon" (even the name is a guarantee), which puts out fabulous things. The album by "ON," if you've ever heard of them, is both avant-garde and primal at the same time. There are also solo works by members of the Dead C.

Thank you tia and domo, welcome back Antmo. The album might not exactly be a 4-star one, especially because the very sparse production hurts a bit, but 3 is way too few.
Thinking Fellers Union Local #282 Mother Of All Saints

Philosopho, thinking about it, I hardly ever listen to the Fellers. Perhaps I was a bit generous with the rating; a three and a half would have been more suitable. The Vampire Rodents, however, are spectacular.

Put on the list immediately! Pretazzo, you write well and say very wise things, but here you come off a bit heavy. Maybe it's the length or the division into just 2 paragraphs or the track-by-track or who knows...

Oh, I can't write. Let's try again: "The album is very good but there’s better stuff out there, or at least equally valuable." That's better, best regards.
