I brought up the Can because I hear a lot of kraut in the sound of Stereolab (I’m talking about Tomato Ketchup), and among kraut groups, the ones I hear the most are the Can. But the Germans were on a different planet compared to these.

Alright, I’ve got the mule saddled up. I think I’ll listen to "i can hear..." which is said by everyone to be their best. But I don’t see how listening to that could change my mind about THIS album.

Pret, I wouldn't define Fugazi as hardcore; they don't have the particular hyper-speed tempos of that genre. Nonetheless, yes, Give Me The Cure faintly resembles Satisfaction, in the sense that you can sing "I can't get-no sa-ti-sfac-tion" over the song's base, nothing more. Ah, I think MacKaye's voice is perhaps the weak point of Fugazi, and this album is probably the one where it's the most bothersome.

I don't know, I only have this by Yo La Tengo, I like it. But in the end, it's just the usual indie rock. The latest by Built To Spill is something else.

Oh yes kosmo! I've only listened to that by The Ex, it doesn't sound like the other stuff by Tortoise, much closer to certain math-rock and post-hardcore, let's say similar to the heavy pieces of Rodan, I think it's beautiful. I'm interested in The Ex, tell me tell me.
