AA.VV. On How A Picture Can Sound
Voto:
You’re right, but I truly see very few connections between the visual works and their respective sound operations. But in the end, who cares, as you say there’s nothing pretentious about this operation, and that’s a good thing. Speaking of Bill Frisell, today I was completely blown away by Naked City! How have I managed to go without that music until now? I think I’ll get the complete discography of Zorn.

Delicious recommendation. I indulged in these sonic bites, although I must say that the association with visual works is somewhat superfluous and arbitrary. Still interesting.
Warren Zevon Sentimental Hygiene
Voto:
How great this is, along with Life'll Kill Ya perhaps the best of Zevon. Sentimental Hygiene and Boom Boom Mancini are stunning, Detox Mansion is the hardest rock song in his repertoire, I can't stand Reconsider Me. @therealramona: Learning To Flinch is a solo live album by Zevon, piano and 12-string acoustic guitar, nice but a bit boring in certain parts.

@Sanj: why don't you do it? I have other plans for now...

Well, of course, it's a matter of taste, but for me, Dadamah are sublime. Maybe it's because I'm in love with New Zealand sounds, but they go far beyond just a reference to the VU. Inside, you can find Pere Ubu, Sonic Youth, sure ambient, and so on and so forth; have I listened to them too much? :)
