Then, according to you, this is the least beautiful of Jarmusch. Okay, I hope so with all my heart. For me, it's an immense film, and watching the others (which I will definitely do) I don't think will change my opinion (that it’s an immense film). Great cinematography, yes: by Robby Muller. One of the reasons Jarmusch chose to do it in b/w is precisely because he had already worked with him and knew his qualities. Great performance by Johnny Depp, no doubts about that.

Is the soundtrack famous only because it's by Neil Young? Well, I may not have seen 10,000 films, but for me, it's one of the most beautiful soundtracks ever made. It might also be a rip-off of Hal Hartey (I'll give it a listen), but you can't deny its effectiveness and intensity.

So, with the forklift I'm at 45.7% of Ghost Dog, 31.2% of Daunbailò, and 0.2% of Stranger. Coffe and Cigarettes completed.

I completely agree with you, josi. And for me too, this is a break from the rules.

Orwell, very true. It's in his nature. Just think that the first time I saw him, in the scene where he walks through the Indian village unable to stand straight, overwhelmed, dazed by visions of real things, and with that damn electric guitar, I was about to throw up. It's a film that can exhaust the viewer.

A greeting in ad ajeje. So, you didn't like Le Vacche? // Josi, shouldn't you be here?

The moments of the murders are downplayed, resolved in a completely random way, the characters kill each other without any reason. They are portrayed as small distractions in the long river of the film. The true substance of the work lies elsewhere. In the music, for example :)

In fact, I wouldn’t see the inconsistency of the plot as a negative factor at all. Nor the "shallow and adolescent philosophy," which, by the way, is rightly mentioned. And parodied. This is a film to be experienced, not to be rationalized. Meanwhile, I'll note down Stranger than Paradise. But is it available in Italian?
