Throbbing Gristle Part Two: The Endless Not
Voto:
Unusually eclectic yet heavy and staggering. Here and there even cosmic. All in all, a true brick that's hard to digest, so I will abstain from voting. Do you think it’s competing for album of the year alongside Neurosis? Mmm, you seem a bit biased.

I mean more or less what Sanjuro meant. Hardcore, by itself, is a limited genre, unless it's infused with something from elsewhere. The Minutemen were funk, new wave, post-punk; Husker Du were melodic and thrilling. Hardcore had the merit of brutally demolishing the sweetness that classic '70s rock had become, with music that had nothing musical about it. It created a scorched earth, which was necessary. From there onward, it rebuilt on the ruins: look at all the post-punk, post-hardcore, noise groups, and so forth, which are musically far more interesting than the early hardcore.

Listening to it casually, it sounded like just another album among many. Unique cover.

The Decline of Western Civilization is a really interesting documentary. I join Sanjuro: my preference goes to Bad Brains and hardcore is a truly limited genre.

In fact, I didn't want to pass a judgment of "absolute value" on the album. It's just an issue I have with slow-core; even Codeine don't say much to me.

Jug Fulla Sun, an elusive record. But will they reissue it? I'm resigning myself to buying the Spirit Caravan collection, in the absence of anything better. Ah, if you haven't heard them yet, I also recommend the Hidden Hand, the latest wino-group. Their work this year is truly remarkable, so far the 2007 album I’ve listened to the most.

For me it's a three, I can't see the feigned harmlessness you describe. There's no comparison with Bitch Magnet. I'll listen more attentively.

Mind your own business, fake of unknown origin. This isn't the first time you've been a nuisance and popped up randomly on reviews just to ruin the average. I was talking to alessioIRIDE because, since he has very similar tastes to mine, I'd prefer him to be someone to have a calm conversation with rather than fortifying his own convictions. He's always better than you, who only seeks to sow discord. Regards.
