Me too! Hooray for the shovelfuls of tar!
Bob Mould Modulate

I also preferred Mould in Huskers. But on his own, he hasn't done anything that reaches the levels of Hart's Intolerance (I haven't listened to all of it, of course, but I trust it).

Well, it could be an amazing fucking masterpiece, but the voice...

Not to be a pain in the ass, but Duane Denison (who is a God) appears in only two tracks: "Knock'em Down" and "Drunkyard's Lament." The official guitarist of Firewater on this album is Oren Kaplan. (the ending of Caroline is not by Denison, just to clarify).

By the way, Firewater will be releasing a new album this year, The Golden Hour. You’ll be able to listen to a little something on their myspace in the coming weeks: Welcome to the new Myspace!

Damn! This may be caused by the fact that you tried to access the same page multiple times (the site prevents downloading more than one file for those who are not registered). Try disconnecting the modem and reconnecting, it's the last resort.

:) At a certain point on the page (above the Paypal boxes) it says "No premium User Please enter" and below in large letters there is a 4-letter code. You need to enter the code in the box below ("here") and hit download. Come on, it's not difficult.

The link to Rapidshare that I provided is the RAR file with the complete album, for anyone who wants to download it (just a matter of 3-4 minutes). You need to click on "free" and you're all set. If you like it, make sure to buy it (it's not easy to find, but sometimes a used, battered copy shows up on eBay).

Ah, with the lineup I took a few liberties (for presentation purposes). Here’s the entire recipe as it appears in the booklet: "How to make a Firewater: two snifters of Tod A, (Bass, Vocals), one chilled George Javori (Drums), one pint of Oren Kaplan (Guitar), three shots of Hahn Rowe (Violin), a twist of Tim Otto (Saxophone), and half a bottle of Paul Wallfisch (Piano, Organ). At other times (like on tracks 2 & 8 for example) substitute two jiggers of Tamir Muskat (Drums). When expecting guests, be sure to have plenty of Duane Denison (Guitar), Jim Kimball (Drums), Kurt Hoffman (Sax), Dave Ouimet (Piano, Organ) on hand or things could get ugly, like on tracks 11 & 12. After a hard day at the office, what could go down smoother than a cool, refreshing Jane Scarpantoni (cello on 3, 4, 10 & 12)? Or how about a tall Birgit Standt (Accordian on 5) on the rocks? A load of soppy sentimentality to The St. Ungracious Girls School Marching Band: Tim Otto, Conductor (Saxophone), Pam Fleming (Trumpet), Susan Graham (Alto Sax), Paula Henderson (Baritone Sax), Jenny Hill (Sax, Piccolo), Dave Ouimet (Trombone) & Joe Ben Plummer (Sax) who took time off from catechism to perform El Borracho". In short, this album features half the world (but the reins are held by Tod A of the CSC).
