Ah, by the way: I've always thought Dickinson was overrated, but Piece of Mind is a good album. DiAnno rules!

The festival was "various artists," the review talks about and describes "various artists." The title is wrong.

Why "iron maiden - live" if it’s a show with various bands (including now at least Motörhead and Mastodon are kicking their ass in all joy)?

Yeah, I get it, don’t take it the wrong way, but these typical jazzy reviews (descriptions of how the styles of various talented musicians intersect to produce a warm loaf flavored with precision) elicit a sincere "yawhn" from me, (almost) like reading a 10-page historiographical booklet. I’m reminded of the page on Bitches Brew by CAZ, and I’m quoting it. Uxo, what does this album say to you? Does it give you goosebumps? What does it smell like?

Yes, trell. And I'll tell you more, today I listened to "More Songs About..." and I really liked it, yes yes. I would say it's very yeah and at times it almost seems sampled from E2-E4 (an album I adore). This techno stuff sometimes excites me, especially if it's not too dancefloor and very pissipissi. Augh

I liked it. And the album is beautiful: small slanted splashes of amorphous songs.

No pretazzo, Fairies Wear Boots is beautiful!

Anyway, I might be stating the obvious, but: SLEEP'S HOLY MOUNTAIN

Cool, I'm already downloading the album mentioned by Odra. I don't know much about techno, but this seems to be in line with Plastikman, right? And I'm still listening to The Field (from this year, very beautiful).

I quote Bartleboom: useless. For Battlegods, from the 80s I recommend (aside from the bands you mentioned): Saint Vitus, Pentagram, Trouble, Pagan Altar, Witchfinder General, The Obsessed. Let me know.
