Oh, but I'm calm. You can never really gauge people's mood on these forums. Now I'll throw in some faces: :D :) ;) ;)))))))) Just imagine if I get worked up over a music discussion. Unless you tell me that Jimi Hendrix was a poor musician!!

Let's say, if we really want to make comparisons: among those mentioned, at least Mascis and Mould (and shall we bring D. Boon into this?) are two MONSTERS of the guitar to whom Cobain doesn't even come close. But it's not a contest of who's better.

I don't care, though: Husker Du changed the history of rock. Damn right they did.

I’m not stressed out at all. I get immense pleasure from listening to Zen Arcade, from searching for thousands of unknown yet equally valid bands, from following the smoke signals. From finding gems that speak to my soul and make me move my ass: something I don’t find in Nirvana (whom I do like and think contributed something to rock). That’s it: I don’t care about the history of rock, and hypocrisy has nothing to do with this discussion. But did YOU talk to Geffen and Cobain? Now it seems that if someone prefers other bands over Nirvana (or other guitarists over Cobain), then they’re an alternative type, come on.
