The thing is simpler than you make it out to be. It was '82 and electronic pop was raging in the world. The Queen, like many other bands of that time, tried to be sonically more commercial and trendy. But since Queen is a rock band (a great rock band), the album is clearly a failure. The beautiful "Under Pressure" saves it, of course. The worst album of their career. Even worse than "A Kind of Magic."

This is a really beautiful album. I mean, it's the only beautiful album by the queen of pop. In my opinion, she has reached her creative and musical peak here.

I respond to you in a physical way.
The latest U2 album is as thin as a sardine.
The latest Queen album (Innuendo) has the depth of a mammoth.
Real bands/artists step up when it's needed. U2 had a monstrous need for that. The result: U2 are gayer than ever.

Come on... This is a little album, a homework assignment well done for the teacher, a contractual obligation for the record label. In reality, I’m glad there are fans as "good and kind" as Socrates. In fact, it must especially please bands like U2, who are still able to sell and fill stadiums, even if what they play now has little meaning.
I realize it’s hard for U2 to make interesting albums like they did in the '80s. But there’s a limit to everything. Aside from a maximum of 3 tracks, this album is bland, and it follows in the footsteps of that crap they made four years ago. They could have put together a 4-track demo. Then it might have been nicer ;-))
Let me give you an example that will trigger a lot of nonsense here. After twenty years of career (like U2), a band like Queen released an album called Innuendo. Now set aside your passions regarding the band and just think about the musical quality. And don’t come back to tell me that a historic and great band like U2 did well with this album. It’s been years since U2 cared more about money, stylish haircuts, and less about music. Did you really not notice?!? It's obvious, and you don't need to be a music expert to understand it.

I completely agree with Nickghostdrake........completely... ...and you all should too. My band and I are much more creative than U2........and I don’t say that lightly.....it’s really true......but the record labels don’t pay attention to us (at least the ones that could help us make the leap)........and the main reason (but there are others since we are Italian....) Nick has already said it.......greetings.

This album is fantastic. They're amazing. The sound is out of this world...
