Jil, are you referring to me or to the reviewer?

How well this review is written, fluid, detailed! I would give the album, bought a few years ago on super discount, a 3.5. Beautiful songs, my favorites are "don't stand," "de do," and "canary in a coalmine," but the others also deserve a listen.

Long live there, since you seem so attached to the national team, I want to let you know that this morning I wrote a review on "4th of July" by Soundgarden and I mention a couple of things about the game! To be honest, I’m not even sure if they’ll publish it since it’s a bit of a mess... but I’m starting to tell you :-)

Let's clear up the misunderstanding, I'm not agreeing with the reviewer just because he talks about the Foo Fighters (whom I've never listened to), he could have been talking about any other band, singer, composer, etc... It's also clear that this group, like so many others, doesn't make Music, it makes music. A music that indeed has no lofty pretensions, so why couldn't I say that they move me, they entertain me, I feel less alone, etc... if that's truly what one feels?

Strangely, I agree with the know-it-all regarding the two points of view. It’s clear that there is also music, that is, Music with a capital M, for which saying "it moves me" is limiting. I was referring to my personal experience; I usually always put a "for me," "in my opinion" in front of my opinions, this time I forgot, mostly because Santi’s comment seemed completely disrespectful to music as well as to the reviewer. And respect for music is fundamental, in my opinion. That said, one could debate for hours about "is it necessary or not," and perhaps we will never fully agree.

Exactly! I feel the same way you do. "Music doesn't solve life, it doesn't end wars, it doesn't get you a job (unless you can play it), it doesn't solve your personal problems. But it does one worthy thing: it never abandons you. No matter who plays it." Whether you listen to the Foo Fighters or something else is irrelevant; what matters is that when you listen to any CD, singer, album, tune, etc., you feel better and not alone, you get emotional, you remember something that happened in the past. That's what music is for! Those who truly love music, you’ll see, will understand you; let the others be.

Oh no, I really don't think so, kry. When's the date? Because I'm swamped with exams until mid-July and then I disappear from Italy for two weeks...as usual, I always miss the "big events"!! :-)
