Keane Under The Iron Sea
Voto:
Surely the Keane are among the best bands around, excellent live, vintage yet original (have you forgotten that there are no guitars??). I still need to buy this, "Crystal Ball" is a beautiful piece and the previous "Hopes and Fears" was, in my opinion, an excellent work. I've heard about the Waterboys... When will there be a review of theirs?? I guess it will be up to me with "Fisherman's Blues";)

Well yes, Johansson, but as someone has already said, Christian Bale is incredible and Bowie as Tesla is absolutely magnificent...

For Saputello: it's not about not considering myself up to par; both in music and film, I have very diverse and often somewhat "demanding" tastes, so that’s certainly not the issue. The film didn't manage to move or involve me. But of course, this is subjective. For Festwca: my comment was a provocation: it genuinely seems to me that to get into Jarmusch's mindset, one really has to lose their sense of perception, and I could only manage that with three glasses of wine. I can't understand the thing about meaningless dialogues… Is it a virtue?? Would you be able to listen to a song without meaning??

I still can’t see it, but having watched a blockbuster like "The Prestige" makes me suspicious and a bit angry. How the hell is it possible that two films exploring the same subject come out at the same time with the same rivalries??
Tim Burton Big Fish - Le Storie Di Una Vita Incredibile

A wonderful reception, a beautiful film in which Burton shows once again that he is the best in that (his??) genre and my absolute favorite director.

In a nutshell, to watch this film you must be made of something?? I agree with El Guevo, it's a bad and boring film (you said it yourself that sometimes the dialogues are nonsensical...)

Neneh Cherry is the daughter of the famous jazz musician Don Cherry and the sister of Eagle-Eye. I have "Homebrew," which is a very particular album from 15 years ago, with a mix of primordial hip hop, pop, and rock. I also have Misplaced Childhood by Marillion, and I must say that in some cases they sound more like Genesis than Genesis themselves. By the way, next month I will see them in concert here in Rome. Regarding Youssou 'Ndour, I have The Lion, an album made with the help of Peter Gabriel, but it's not a very easy listen, very "ethnic."

Thank you, I've simply grown up with a passion for music (just imagine my mother loves U2, the Police, and Queen) and I don't have any qualms about switching from rock to pop, from blues to jazz. Just think, recently I bought a record by Neneh Cherry, one by Mercury Rev, one by Marillion, and another one by Youssou 'Ndour... In short, I'm quite flexible ;)

But in fact, I am not nostalgic for those times, but for those albums and those released years earlier. You know very well that now the great albums are like "white flies," so we can only long for those magnificent works of art.

But I believe that Jackson's talent is not up for debate. The fact that he eventually self-destructed over the years (without forgetting the blame of the people who hovered around him for years) is a given. I am a nostalgic, and the Michael Jackson of those years was absolutely extraordinary.
