The 13th Floor Elevators Bull Of The Woods

Review written in a somewhat rough manner. I also think that in the '60s there were several much better groups, there's just an embarrassment of choices.

It feels like a "therapeutic persistence" album.

I find that often the Floydian bootlegs (especially those from the 1967-'75 period) are very interesting, due to the presence of unreleased material and versions of released tracks that are very different from the originals. Here, the element of interest is given by "Raving and Drooling" and "You Gotta Be Crazy", which would eventually become, with various modifications, "Sheep" and "Dogs".

I also liked Stardi the big-headed guy and Garoffi the hustler.

Partially reassessed, after years of adolescent rejection. However, it still strikes me as unbearably rhetorical and overly benevolent, with highly improbable characters, almost caricature-like. Long live Franti!

Good review, unfortunately the album does not sit well with me.

I don't agree either with the positive evaluations of Marina Berlusconi and Alfano (the latter was also the author of unconstitutional bills to save his boss from trials), but I find the reflections on this "homo novus" interesting. I partially share his ideas for renewal aimed at greater participation from civil society, but I disagree with a wholesale rejection of the past, especially when carried out with arrogance. Youth is a fact, not a merit. I also find the total absence of ideas and stances on social issues unsettling, which is unforgivable for someone aspiring to lead a center-left party.

Since 1995, unaccounted for. I thought they had dissolved; whether or not that's the case, I couldn't care less.

And then: "Le Orme-Piccola rapsodia dell'ape," "Banco-Urgentissimo," "P.F.M.-Suonare suonare," "Ron-Una città per cantare," "Ornella Vanoni-Ricetta di donna," "Gino Paoli-Ha tutte le carte in regola," "Adriano Celentano-Un po' artista, un po' no," "Milva-La rossa." In short, even though Guccini, De Gregori, Paolo Conte, and Fossati were missing from the lineup, 1980 was a great year for Italian music.
