As often happens, an interesting debate has gone off the rails (perhaps that’s why the placid beast appears in the debaserian logo?). The events in Genoa impressed me greatly at the time; a friend of mine was there and told me she was very scared. The assault on the Diaz is a chapter that casts shame on the law enforcement, which on that occasion behaved even worse than the thugs who mingled with the peaceful protesters. Legitimate and proportionate defense can be understandable in case of aggression, but what happened at the Diaz was of an unprecedented ferocity and gratuitousness. Giuliani and Placanica, poor unfortunate souls (in the sense that one lost his life over a nonsense, the other will be marked by an even bigger nonsense), let’s leave them alone.

A work of CUL...ture. I can't stand "Fiki Fiki," but I really appreciate "Com'è bello lavarsi," "Mafalda" (the memorable video with Drudi in a wig and brown-colored tights), and "Cuccala" (a video filmed on a cloudy day off the Romagna coast on a boat, featuring a girl in an unflattering outfit eating a slice of watermelon the same color as the aforementioned tights).
