Gianni Drudi Fiky Fiky
Voto:
Gianni Drudi is above good and evil. I've never been able to stand the song; I prefer "Cuccala," "Mafalda," and "Com'è bello lavarsi." Among the talents of "Mai dire TV," however, I favor the hallucinatory flair of Mitola, the rough rock of Lorenz, and Rosina Lazzarino's very personal conception of the staff.
Pooh Dove comincia il sole
Voto:
@ Pinhead: the album in English must be "Hurricane." It would have been better if they hadn't done it because their pronunciation was quite rough. As for the Pooh, I think they're great musicians, very professional and well-prepared, but with a often mediocre repertoire. They deserve a slap.
Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin III
Voto:
I love it for the perfect balance between acoustic and electric atmospheres. And "Since I've been loving you" is definitely one of my favorites.
John Lennon Double Fantasy Stripped Down
Voto:
I have the original and it seemed to me like a more than decent record, at least regarding the 7 tracks by John Lennon (the Ono pieces are unbearable). This intrigues me, because some songs seemed excessively "manipulated."
Paolo Conte Nelson
Voto:
He has probably already given away the best chestnuts, but Paolo Conte has aged well: one of the few who deserves respect and trust no matter what he does. Best enjoyed with a good vintage Barolo (the novello seems like stuff for hipsters).
Walt Disney Der Fuehrer's Face
Voto:
Great and interesting suggestion. I had heard a lot about it, but I haven't seen it yet, and I will take advantage of YouTube. Genna, in his "Hitler," mentions a scene where Donald Duck punches his cousin Gus, a dapper dressed Nazi. Unlike others, I find in Hitler, besides many horrible and abominable aspects, a tragically grotesque side, and I consider "The Great Dictator" one of the greatest films ever made.
The Clash White Riot
Voto:
Essential and straightforward. I too abhor violence and certainly senseless rebellion.

I join the encouragers... Here Santana is far from the scorching escapades of the late '60s and early '70s, but he hasn't yet become the one hosting dozens of other artists, playing here and there to justify the release of a record under the name "Santana." And then "Europa" is one of my favorite tracks.
Howard Phillips Lovecraft L'ombra su Innsmouth
Voto:
It had me in stitches... Who knows what a movie based on Lovecraft would have been like if the Monty Python had acted in it... I've read various things about him, some more fragrant than others, but the work that unsettled me the most is "The Tomb," a novel in which the protagonists are civilized white men living underground, who, however, entertain themselves with bloody gladiatorial combats and punish those who step out of line with horrific mutilations and recompositions. But I've been past the Lovecraft phase for a few years now.
Pink Floyd Masters of Rock
Voto:
The only one I don't like is "A Momentary Lapse of Reason"; my favorite period is the one that spans from "Atom Heart Mother" to "Wish You Were Here." "Masters of Rock" and "Relics" complement each other in some ways and overlap in others: useful for getting to know the early Floyd, but once you own the complete discography, they are quite dispensable (between the two, there's only one unreleased track, which is "Biding My Time," included in "Relics").
