My consideration is simple and stems from a personal preference; sometimes I prefer music to be pure, I don't always feel the need for vocals... I don't know what you mean by "waiting room music"... you talk about "cause" as if you meant "blame," but I have my tastes, and I have no "blame"... if I misunderstood, I apologize for the misunderstanding...

I will have to listen to it carefully; I admit it's a genre I would prefer not to be "sung," however, if this is what we have to work with :)...

a very personal opinion, granted that in the (wonderful) pieces of Nick Drake "the California sun is missing," I find that there are sonorities and atmospheres similar to some tracks by Crosby, for example "River Man" and "3 Hours" from the album "Five Leaves Left"... I reiterate, this is an absolutely subjective impression...

Knowing the dynamics of the disease, it's very likely that, if he wasn't already suffering from AIDS in 1985, he was indeed HIV positive; I seem to remember an incubation period of up to 10 years before the disease became manifest... I don't know the album, and apart from a few exceptions, I'm not fond of Queen's songs, but I've always believed he had an incredible voice, isn’t that true?... I liked the review... we could talk at length about the self-righteous, about Gay people, about the decadent lifestyle and the orgiastic parties; even more so, we could discuss the impact on the customs of our society... one absolute certainty remains for me, we are less free...
Pino Daniele Iguana Cafè

very nice the play of this review... compliments... getting back to the album, I think I can say that Pino has now lost his way, the voice is "not very interesting" it no longer has character... the guitar has had the same sound for 10 years, and it doesn't excite, personally it bores me, the lyrics are banal... it would be better if he returned to singing in Neapolitan... if he picked up an electric guitar again, if he played Funky, Blues again...

In short, Violator88, Donjunio, and I (misterNo) often circle around the same records, a bit like sharks with their prey. Sometimes we manage to snap at them, and sometimes not; Donjunio got there first, and frankly, I'm always happy about that. I really enjoy his reviews... for me, the magic of this record is the "dream" it is soaked in, that "poetry of the soul" that only those who are aware of living possess... when I listen to these magical notes, and generally to the more intimate notes from various CSN, Neil Young, James Taylor, I feel alive; I realize I am here, I discover how truly precious this life is... it's a shame that, in hindsight, this dream has fully revealed its utopian nature, yet, "nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita," still in a little corner of my heart, something comes to life, and frankly, I can still be moved when "the sun slowly bleeds the sea"...

I read "Journey to the End of the Night" about ten years ago, during a time when I was constantly thinking about death... I attributed an enormous fragility to life... it was a fabulous read, but it didn't pull me out of my swamp... I discovered the "requiem" much earlier, one of the best things humanity has conceived... great reception...
