Yet, there are some gems in their discography, if not for their emotional value (music and lyrics) like, "Eleonora mia madre"; "Una donna normale"; and still speaking of guitar, I fondly remember and enjoy "Così ti vorrei", you have to try it to believe it :)...

Okay Matt7, but keep in mind that I didn't talk about the entire album, which might all be interesting, but frankly, I don't remember now, but about the song "1966" :)...

Matt7, I'm asking for your opinion, let it be clear, I don't understand technical matters, and frankly, I don't really care; what matters to me is the final result, and if it makes me "enjoy," then it hits the mark... please listen to the Pooh song "1966" from the album "Un pò del nostro tempo migliore" and tell me what you think of the overall harmony and the guitar solo (it doesn't matter if you can do it with just 2 fingers) what I'm wondering is a general judgment on the "harmonic-melodic" value of the solo... thanks.

Matt7, you know that technique isn't everything, right? You know that, don't you? :)...

great review, the samples help, in fact, while the first three remind me of a rather inspired Taylor, let's say something like "Mud Slide Slim And..." the fourth one reminds me a lot of his second phase, which frankly I'm not very fond of...

I will have to hear it too, as it is unknown to me...

you pride yourself on being a great connoisseur of music, and then you doubt that Dodi knows seventh chords; this, even if stated civilly, is such a nonsense that it becomes bothersome...

I sought a civil discussion, but I see it's not possible. You may be a great guitarist, but the concept of a civil, honest dialectical exchange seems foreign to you. I have never claimed that Dodi was a great guitarist, but to say he can't play is false, and to even suggest that he doesn't use seventh chords? Come on, what is this, a bar fight?

It's a prejudice; Dodi is like anyone else, you just have to study to learn things, and if you allow me, he has an advantage, whether you believe it or not, he can play the guitar. So, even though that intro is difficult, I doubt it will take him 20 years to learn it... I'm not a fan of Pooh, nor of Dream Theater... however, the discussion seemed to lack "common sense"...
