Massive Attack Blue Lines
Voto:
100th Window is definitely the Massive album that required me the most time to appreciate. I admit it initially disappointed me; it seemed that deep down it was missing something, a mark... I had the chance to reassess it, and it’s certainly the most "Delnajan" (by now the Massives are him), but I still think it feels slightly incomplete and not everything is on the same level. But surpassing oneself after producing an absolute masterpiece like Mezzanine wasn't easy, you know...

I also include the samples, but with a maximum time of 30 seconds they’re useless; the tracks from the album take a bit longer to develop. I need samples that are one minute long... what should I do?

editor, can we make a change? When I first talk about INNER DAZE, I'm actually referring to SERIOUS INTENT. The real inner daze is what I mention shortly after (sung by Emma Stow).

Well, Mezzanine is unattainable, it's pure Massive 100%. But giving Blue Lines a 4 seemed a bit reductive to me; it's one of the best debut albums I've ever had the chance to listen to. The Massives will move towards a darker, denser sound, but the basic lines of their style are already present here.

too many memories tie me to Melody, my judgment is irreparably biased

Kosmo, I'm off to bed now, but tomorrow I promise you the samples you're asking for (even though I have no idea how to do it, I guess I'll read the instructions).

Yes, indeed, excellent review. But in my opinion, Melody A.M. is something else.

immense dsico, second only to No Code, which I believe is the most mature of the group

Yes, I just brushed it off recently. But in the review, there's a mistake; "inner daze" is repeated twice... I don't know...

Well, for some it might be interesting to have different opinions on the same album, don’t you think? I agree with you on the review's judgment: I didn’t realize I made it so short, the album definitely deserved more.
