a wasted natural talent in a jumble of mediocrity...without ideas, a beautiful voice is worthless. I also vote "Together" as one of the ten most unlistenable songs of the year.

this never ends +...in any case, I agree that the more recent productions of roni size & co. are a bit too "pushed"... on the other hand, it's also true that I've lost sight of the genre for quite a while. The last CD I bought was "I kamanchi" by Die+Suv. Nice only in parts.

I would also add "Mysteries of Funk" by Grooverider... and why not, also Royalize, a rare example of good local d'n'b.

this review sucks as much as the music genre it refers to

great review, stunning album...I saw them live a few years ago at Magazzini Generali, what an evening!

Would Reveal be bland? Leaving New York the most beautiful song of the year? Oh my god...flat and flavorless album, lacking in drive, no one would have missed it. Have the REM reached the end of the line? And then, excuse me, but this worn-out anti-Americanism has really gotten old; I don’t mean to say that music shouldn’t spread politically engaged and possibly positive messages, but now the equation music=politics is being taken too far.

disappointment...a flat record, almost completely lacking in drive...a few good tracks (electron blue above all), but the rest says very little to me. what a shame.

Well... I don't think you can judge the artistic quality of a work solely based on criteria of originality. easycure, I completely agree with you that the current rock scene isn't particularly innovative, but is there any band that doesn't bear some more or less pronounced influence from some illustrious predecessor? Perhaps we would need to go way back in time. I'm not saying that the FF brought something new, just that their work, taken on its own, has something that many other little bands lack. In any case, it has nothing to do with Interpol: Antics surpasses FF in every aspect.
