Remembering this album as extreme in electronics feels new to me as an expression; I could place it among the most successful extreme records, but the European public needed a bomb like The Fat Of The Land to let off steam, and indeed it was a worldwide success. I would repeatedly cite as the true hardcore antagonist group to The Prodigy during this period the fusion with anarchy punk sung at the top of their lungs; their verses were merely incitements against the system, the Atari Teenage Riot, who more than anyone else defined hardcore and influenced countless bands in the current breakcore, jungle, and industrial scene. If you take away the DJs who play in clubs, live ATR were perhaps one of the most massive and hardcore groups of all.

serial thrilla is not techno hardcore, it's a mix between breakbeat crossover and a fusion song style.

a tide of bullshit, gentlemen, this review is full of it... <<going from an innovative and highly appreciated techno to a very angry techno>> seems to me the opposite... jilted is really angry, this is more tekno punksss... then the bullshit about Keith... <<it's the only track I like contaminated by Keith's voice>> that's Maxim, buddy... get it in your head, it's called MAXIMperial not kool keith... <<Following is the super angry "Firestarter," which makes me a bit cringe saying: it was really worth diving into such an intense type of techno>> to me, fuel my fire and no good on the previous CD seem more intense... so let's compare them by their position on the CD... no good is for raves, firestarter is for pogo punksss. Overall, I believe it has explicitly changed the musical listening habits of millions, worth 5 for the following it has generated... it's his merit that many choose a raw and massive beat instead of a polished dancefloor one... mindset, guys, this is encapsulated in this CD... the general nonchalance, being at the forefront, is monstrous.
