@ Dr Adder. Is the Porcaro solo you’re talking about present in Amused to Death by Roger Waters, by any chance?

One of the most beautiful soundtracks I have ever heard! I agree with the reviewer; this music has the gift of shining far beyond its connection to the images of the TV show. In fact, no offense to the Lynch fans, but in this music I find the most captivating element of the television series. Lynch has expressed himself on much higher levels... The review is intelligent and well-written, but I belong to the "party" that believes it's wonderful to find a wealth of information and details in what one reads... many oppose this, arguing that conciseness is key, but I believe that if something truly interests you, you will delve deep into the reading.

Fantastic review for an album with alternating moments... I definitely prefer it to No Code!

Sorry, in that year (1987) A Momentary Lapse of Reason and Radio K.A.O.S. were released. Which one do you prefer between the two? I ask you this question to compare the work of Gilmour and Waters at a specific historical moment. I believe that both suffered from the attempt to renew their music with a sound that was foreign to them and that they would soon reject.

@ World SBK Fan. You say that the first Metallica album was entirely composed by Mustaine. Are you sure Hetfield didn't write anything? In reality, the songs are credited to Hetfield/Ulrich/Mustaine. My doubt, however, is about Ulrich's compositional contribution; he always appears as a co-writer, but I have my doubts that he contributed to writing all the band's songs... or at least I think so. Can any Metallica expert tell me something about it?

Is "She's a roller" the song "Roll over Vic Vella" or is it something different? I've never heard of it...

Great review... the only note is regarding understanding woman: here Gilmour does his duty, but the song itself is weak (especially due to the production).

Putting aside the period with Gabriel, their best live album is undoubtedly Seconds Out. The reviewed album is suitable for fans of the post-Hackett era. P.S. I consider Calling All Stations to be on the same level as all the other albums from the eighties and nineties... good music but nothing exceptional.

If for you prog is a useless meatball with at most a few nice bits here and there, imagine modern music with only punk... Of course, this is just a provocation, but music has a wide sonic spectrum from which everyone extracts what attracts them the most. The complexity of prog can be a good reason for attraction in itself, while the simplicity of punk might be boring. There is gold in both simplicity and complexity!
