For Logic Probe. I talked about the MUSIC and not the lyrics of the cited songs. As for "Time" and "Shine on You Crazy Diamond," they are indeed choral works, but Waters focused more on the lyrics, while Gilmour and Wright paid more attention to the music and arrangements. This doesn't take anything away from Waters, who has often proven to be phenomenal at writing the music for many songs (which, however, benefited from Gilmour's main arrangements). The credits don’t go into specifics, but if you look into the dynamics of the group, you will realize that what I said is true (I recommend reading "Inside Out" by Nick Mason and "A Shafer of Secrets" by Nicholas Schaffner). If we stray from the musical discourse, the lyrics of those songs are entirely by Waters.

The cover is a bit cliché, but the music is anything but!

Really great FLOYDMAN. Just one note: in this album, Eric Woolfson does not sing on any track.

We have before us Gilmour's best solo album (not that it was particularly difficult to surpass the previous ones, though). A sweet, delicate, and dreamy album. Perhaps these characteristics might not appeal to everyone, but I get emotional. Three notes: 1 If Gilmour had wanted to produce an album with Mason and Wright, I am convinced it wouldn’t have been much different... two or three songs written by Wright, a production more anchored in the past, and the game would have been made. Instead, Gilmour chose not to challenge the past anymore and created his honest and sincere album. 2 Polly Samson will never measure up to Waters, but I don't find her lyrics bad or out of place. 3 I disagree with the judgment of the album. In fact, it contains pieces worthy of the best Floydian tradition, written by the author of the music for "Comfortably Numb," "Run Like Hell," "Dogs," "Wish You Were Here," a large part of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," and "Time" (just to name a few): I don’t believe that Gilmour has musically dumbed himself down, and those who say he is a terrible songwriter ATTACK THE SONGS I’ve mentioned.

Beautiful review and stunning album. If you dive into the listening experience, you run the "risk" of getting emotional.

I wrote my previous comment in Word and then copied it here. The punctuation is lost... Can anything be done?

As a fan of Pink Floyd, I tried to keep my pen in check and deliver a concise and useful review for readers. I do not agree with giving at least 4 stars to any album by Waters, because even a giant like him doesn’t always reach the heights of maximum inspiration, and his latest single “To kill the child” is proof of that. I am against the “sacredness” of musicians. Personally, Waters' most beautiful album as a solo artist is “Amused to death,” where, however, taking off my fan's garb, I can find some flaws in its splendid unfolding: however, it’s certain that Waters does not go so far as to mimic himself. Regarding the “eighties arrangements,” we enter a controversial topic: I believe that the 1980s were a very important period of musical innovation, but only a few musicians managed the change well. I don't think Waters was particularly innovative during this time, and the arrangements present in “Radio Kaos” do not excite me. Moreover, there’s nothing that is “objectively beautiful”: it all depends on the listener.

Before your review was published, I also wrote one about this album (awaiting publication). I am against duplicates, especially when there is already a well-written review like this. Fortunately, mine is quite different; it is more critical and focuses more on the music. I think it's interesting to read both.

easycure is an anthem to arrogance and prejudice. THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS is THE MUSIC... LISTEN TO THIS WONDER!
P.S. Tell me easycure, if someone loves both the Cure and Dream Theater, do they suffer from some serious illness?
