For Antonio D'Este. I am a self-taught guitarist, with little preparation regarding musical technique, unlike you. I have always appreciated your comments and your way of analyzing music. If the word maestro makes you uncomfortable, let's just say that I read you with great attention and admiration.

I quote every word of Master Antonio Deste. Well done Joe, balanced, clear, and objective!

Come on, Floydman, a few seconds of a lazy Gilmour can't push you to give it a 5, the score for masterpieces. It's like saying this album is as good as Dark Side of the Moon. You don't make a good impression making such statements. The review, however, is perfect; it captures the essence of the album.

Recently, songs like Last Day of Summer and Treasure, for example, are way better than any song on this album. Not to mention Wish, simply fantastic. Let's start from the assumption that I love the twilight and dark Cure, not the pop ones!

The review is good, but for me the album remains the lowest point in the discography of the Cure.

I would have liked to do it myself! Anyway, really a nice review (aside from the last two lines that ruin the mood). I also think it's an album worth three plus one...

Nice review. However, you didn't mention David Pack, co-author and performer of some of the best songs on the album. It's a pity he didn't join the band permanently.
Premiata Forneria Marconi Dracula: Opera Rock

Fantastic review (except for a few small smudges), it's literally absurd that it was placed among the B-list reviews. I've often found Floydman too "biased," radical, and not very open to dialogue; however, one cannot deny that his reviews ooze passion... This one on Dracula is really beautiful. Maybe some editor doesn't love you too much!
