It's true that Slayer liked being accused. The pro-Nazi icons they used in their works only fueled the accusations against them. However, they always enjoyed this, even if they denied it all.

Well, I've done almost all the reviews of Metallica and I explained what I think about each album reviewed. THIS is an album that served to say: "holy shit, we're back!". They didn't include the solos because they wanted to create something spontaneous. Do you really think Kirk can't play solos anymore? It's not worth cursing about it. And when they perform live, he does play solos for the songs from St. Anger. In fact, he stated in an interview: "Fans complain about the lack of solos? Let them come see us live; I'm doing billions of solos!!!" And then one clarification: IN ST. ANGER THERE IS NO BASS. Bob Rock played it on the CD, but if you listen to the album carefully, you'll notice that the bass parts are very simple. Bob Rock can't play bass at the levels of Metallica. Therefore, the bass is the nonexistent instrument on the album. Trujillo arrived after the recording of St. Anger, and almost nothing was changed. Anyway, I think the next album by Metallica will be a great record. This is a transitional album. By the way, Carlotta, if you go into the genres of Thrash metal, you'll find other reviews in that style. I was preparing the one for Exodus.

But please, you and these six idiots who listen. And you don't like the latest from Metallica, Load and Reload and Garage. But if we’re talking about being commercial, realize that the most commercial band out there is the one you’re supporting. BUT YOU'VE NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHAT MUSIC IS. I hope you’re still 14 and will soon change your minds and realize what music is and what is crap. Without the bands you’re criticizing, your Linkin would be waiting tables or working at gas stations. Nothing more.

let's say I've been listening to them for three years now. anyway, St. Anger rocks! in its own different style (let's not talk about nu-metal please, otherwise it seems we’ve grasped little about music here). it’s not the "rocking" of the big albums and it can be liked or not. I wake up in the morning screaming "master!! master!!... I go back and start again with blackened... and I relax with the call of kututlu... I listen to cliff’s solos, kirk’s outbursts, and james's big voice every single day. don’t be fooled by my age. I have Metallica written on my heart. anyway, dominus, I repeat, it’s a matter of tastes and opinions. I hope that in the other Metallica reviews our tastes can embrace each other.

It's not a matter of being objective. This album deserves a 7! And we have to admit it. It rocks! And above all, it goes for something new because it's spontaneous, like rage. I'm not saying all the songs are great, but it's definitely not all crap. If you cling to mirrors and deceive yourself just because there won't be another Master of Puppets, that's another story. THESE ARE THE NEW METALLICA, PERIOD! The next album will be different and more elaborate, you'll see. And Carlotta, come on, talking to me about Slayer, who after Season in the Abyss have done little to nothing (Diabolus is very hardcore). They released a punk cover album and a live one, besides the "strange" God Hates Us All. If you want to talk about thrash and sincere bands, be careful with what you shoot out, my dear.

As dominus_sathanas says, it's a matter of tastes. I like the drums (which go full throttle anyway), and you can't deny that some riffs are killer. Compared to the 4 albums, there's no comparison, but it's not a shit album like you criticize it.

Why are Dream Theater doing?
Iron Maiden Dance of Death
Voto:
No, the nonsense is what you are saying! The sounds remain prog (not the style, think Dream Theater). Listen to the effects in the album and you'll see! It’s not the usual Maiden album.
