I don't think I have detonating knowledge, but I've only expressed opinions. If then you say who I am as a metalhead... in 10 years you've wasted time.

Yes, but it’s the kind of thing I hate. Actually, they’re quite good, but nothing special.

nice album, although perhaps a little too "commercial"

Sure, all artists. But here no comparisons have been made with the band's music. It hasn't been said that Pascoli's poetry is like black metal, but simply that some ideological contexts are similar (the night, darkness...)

And here you make the mistake again, easy. But do you know how many metal bands do nothing but draw inspiration from and entirely dedicate their music to the works, ideologies, and poetics of the greatest authors of the past? Don't think that all metal bands sing about blood, death, and whores. Some artists could easily give you/us a lesson in literature or philosophy at any moment. But as always, we fall back into clichés, never having listened and judging unfairly what we don't know, just going by "what we've heard."

And then why not Leopardi, Foscolo, etc.? It doesn't seem to me that any of these great writers have been offended; quite the opposite. The argument holds up when you think that Fallen has made a comparison between the feeling of night represented by writers and that represented by a very dark genre. This only signifies that Fallen is well-prepared in the subject. You are being a bit too nitpicky, anyway. And when metalheads are "rough and stupid"... and when they are too "angry and childish"... and when they are too "sophisticated and cultured"... well then, let's put an end to these pointless controversies! Reviews are written in whatever way one wants and citing whoever one wants. And if done appropriately, as in this case, a certain work can only be praised.

I downloaded the sample trashing. Very nice. I caught one with a prayer to Mary and a background created by a very dark guitar arpeggio. I want their CDs!!!
