Regarding the sound of Temple of the Dog, I wanted to say that this project cannot be categorized as either a PJ or SG album... in fact, the emotion conveyed in this CD is one of a kind... the arrangements were made by 4 members of PJ and 2 of SG... it has its own sound... but the artists are the same... the style is very similar.

Now... I like that warm grunge. Exciting, raw just the right amount... that of PJ... that of Cornell's raspy and emotional voice in SG... I like that of AIC... because I love that sound of the bass and Laney's voice... but I don't like the Melvins (even though I've only listened to 4 albums)... I've listened to 2 of Mudhoney's (or however the hell you spell it) and I didn't like them... I might be unprepared, superficial, impatient about these bands, but no one is about the things they don't like...

Surely you will all be prepared, and I won’t understand a damn thing about “true grunge”... but here’s the perspective of an average 17-year-old, passionate about "real music": 1) I divide the bands we've mentioned into 2 different spheres... on one side I put SG, PJ (if you say they’re not grunge, you're pathetic!) and STP... on the other side, I place the Melvins, etc.... I put Alice in Chains in the middle...

Many bands now (Linkin Park, Evanescence, etc.) wouldn't know how to distinguish one note from another.. yet they appear in every fucking magazine on the planet! Yes, the Green River... anyway, I don't like Mudhoney and the Melvins... even Alice in Chains are raw, but honestly, these bands have really disappointed me. Not even Silverchair is that great. As for 2+2=5... I didn't get your "PJ and Soundgarden together?"... I can only write grunge... and it seems you can't even do that.
