Rereading the discography of Testament, I noticed that there are quite a few 'the best' and 'greatest hits' collections... I've never understood why, well aside from the commercial reason, some bands keep putting out these 'the best' albums... like MAIDEN... seriously, there are more compilations than actual albums...
Back to the album... a nice record, but as you said bassist... there are better tracks by Testament... one note though... DAVE LOMBARDO is DAVE LOMBARDO... Tempesta is a good drummer... but the former fastest drummer in the world... he’s a legend.

no bassist...you can't review KILL'em ALL [;-)]!!! I agree with everything...but I don't think Cliff lacked technique...I think that at 23 years old, what he was doing was done by very few...if he had made it to today.....he would be the best bassist ever!! (in my opinion, he already is :-> hehehe)...just think of the riff from Orion...my goodness!!! But the best album is the colossal MASTER OF PUPPETS!! Seek and destroy, the four horsemen and No remorse are the most beautiful, in addition to track n°5...that little bass piece, where the drums then come in....

hatemoor not understanding the "galloping prog celtic" style, but the sound... this album has the old maiden style (galloping) and progressive sound, following a celtic folk... x the bassist: I don't like the cover either... I mean, it's a nice idea but poorly executed... it has a very silly graphic... compared to the other great covers of IM (Fear of the Dark, Live After Death, Powerslave above all).
