“Blues for the red sun” sounds like the hard rock of Led Zeppelin met the acid rock of Grateful Dead, ALL FILTERED THROUGH THE HEAVY METAL OF EARLY METALLICA AND THE PSYCHEDELIC BENT OF PINK FLOYD. And it is precisely the psychedelia that is the defining element of the album.
