In criticizing this film, I agree, because it’s not a movie but a collection of jokes and punchlines held together; you have a good laugh, but if you judge it as a film, it’s definitely very mediocre.

but the sports bar or to mention another the commissioner lo gatto will be crap for you anatas, for me they are very funny movies, they are not masterpieces and they don't want to be, I don’t understand why you have to add the adjective crap to them, if anything this label fits more to little movies like "notte prima degli esami", various films by Vanzina and a lot of 70s trash, but the films you mentioned are hilarious, if you're afraid to say they are nice films just because you fear being criticized, that's your problem.

For me, Lino Banfi from the 70s and 80s was incredibly funny (I liked him much more than his current work). He was a comic actor whose mannerisms and jokes have become part of the Italian collective imagination. Various sketches from "Vieni avanti cretino" and several of his films can, in my opinion, be easily compared with more critically acclaimed works. While it’s true that many of these films are considered trash or something else, that doesn’t take away from the fact that "L'allenatore nel pallone" and "Vieni avanti cretino" are rightly cult movies, and those comedies, in my view, have little to do with the trash cinema of the 70s. Nevertheless, this is a film that has more plot than others in the genre and is quite enjoyable.

In fact, I am not convinced at all by this remix; they are a group that is too complex and unique. In my opinion, the remix distorts their songs. I will hardly give it a listen; I prefer their original tracks.

If anything, the Red Hot Chili Peppers were present in Fungus Amongus (I hope I've spelled it right). If we can talk about influence, it's due to the funk component, which however has now vanished. So I still don't understand the comparison between Incubus and Red Hot, since it’s said almost as if Incubus were a copy of Red Hot, which is absurd, especially because the Red Hot, mainly rock (from Californication onwards), are far inferior to Incubus in many respects. The Red Hot make simple pop-rock albums, while Incubus creates an intimate and subdued melodic album like Morning View or post-grunge stuff like A Crow Left...

muffinman, you're a bit sad, but every time you watch a movie it’s like reading a work by Heidegger or Schopenhauer? Come on, a bit of cheerfulness, there's more to cinema than just intellectual or serious films, get it into your head, okay, you didn’t like the film, but a movie doesn’t have to be about the meaning of life, the significance of pleasure, and various other heavy topics. In every cinematic experience (even the worst), it always remains a life experience...

It's certainly not Celentano that the Vanzina brothers come from, don't say nonsense, Poletti, which is typical of the usual well-known critics. There are other films that have led us to the trash comedy of today. I agree with the crazy one, the film might be a bit rough, but there's Celentano who, with his expressions and jokes, makes it extremely enjoyable; he cracks me up, and especially Celentano and Emuti are a duo with great chemistry. Let's say I agree that since the 70s Italian comedy has seen a certain decline, but only from a technical or rather cinematographic standpoint—in the sense that laughter has never been lacking; masterpieces have been missing, not laughter—indeed, in my opinion, the laughs have increased and the jokes and dialogues have modernized. In short, I see quite a few enjoyable comedies in Italy at least until the 80s; the true masterpieces, however, stop in the 70s, probably because there haven't been any more auteur films in this genre. Then, with the Vanzina monopoly, true decline set in.

Maybe the Red Hot Chili Peppers had the compositional flair of current Incubus; in fact, I really don't understand the comparison between Incubus and Red Hot. I've yet to listen to this album, but in my opinion, the previous two are really good rock records, far from indie-snob or the crap like Tokio Hotel. They still have class, melody (never trivial), and style, which is quite significant in today's rock scene. And anyway, it doesn't seem to me that the typical Incubus (as you say) are just loud riffs; they were that way in Science and *Make Yourself*, where they still used distorted guitar (and yet even for those albums, the definition is inaccurate). But it's been more than ten years since those albums—typical Incubus now are something else.

great film, Burton as usual is visionary and magical in the landscapes and atmospheres he creates.

For me too, the peak of Wielder along with Viale del Tramonto. Shirley MacLaine is beautiful in this film!
