Carlo Vanzina Eccezzziunale veramente
Voto:
a film that's a bit too overrated by trash lovers in my opinion. I got quite bored watching it, and then Abatantuomo in this role is a bit too repetitive; I mean, you can laugh for 5 minutes but then it gets tiresome, much more convincing as a magician from Segrate or as Attila, eh!
Dark Tranquillity Damage Done
Voto:
Besides the fact that you made a historical mistake, Dark Tranquillity didn't exist in the late 80s and early 90s, and that was also when death metal was born, the "golden age" of the genre, so it’s actually the opposite of what you’re saying.
Great CD, but I prefer In Flames; that year Reroute to Remains came out, which I prefer, but they’re both good albums!
George Lucas Star Wars Ep.II: L'attacco dei cloni
Voto:
a clear step up from the 1, lacks the magic of the 80s trilogy, but it's a good sci-fi film with excellent special effects and a transition toward the final chapter.
Terrible review from someone who didn't understand a damn thing about star wars!
Anathema Alternative 4
Voto:
I'm not convinced this album is not psychedelic; the track that gives the album its name is the most psychedelic they've ever composed, a haunting, incredible piece (in my opinion, the peak of the album and also of Anathema), which would have entered rock history if it had been composed by Radiohead. Just like the incredible chorus of "Fragile Dreams" would have sent all lovers of a certain classy rock into ecstasy, but unfortunately, they are called Anathema, they have a doom metal past, and that keeps many people from approaching this band. "Alternative 4" is simply rock; in my opinion, the last metal album by Anathema is "Silent Enigma" (which is also a great album). This work isn't even gothic metal; I'm not fixated on genres, but it's right to guide people who want to listen to the album and think they're going to find Paradise Lost or Lacuna Coil (when you talk about gothic metal).
Castellano e Pipolo Grandi Magazzini

The film is pitiful, but the scene with Manfredi, however, is worth saving in my opinion, strangely melancholic and bittersweet in a banal and overly commercial comedy (which I naturally enjoyed a lot as a child).

And I also vote, because there are users here who are a bit naive, they didn’t really give the film a 4...

I hadn't read the review yet; in fact, now I remember Manfredi, really good, his segment is in my opinion very beautiful.

As a child, it was one of my cult films because it featured all my favorite comedic actors from that time in one movie; I haven't seen it in a long while.

I haven't read the whole review, and it seems interesting to me, but in my opinion, you're overthinking it. For me, the theme of the film is not political, and the title is explanatory in this sense. Often, to convey clear messages that can reach people directly, there's a need for a context (in this case, a regime) that is immediately clear to everyone. I also don't believe in a black-and-white view, but a film set in one of our modern "democracies" would lose that poetic quality this film possesses. Your reasoning is also a bit black and white; it doesn't mean that a director, just because they set the film in former East Germany, thinks that our system is the best possible.
