absurd masterpiece! my favorite grind cd, even though as the reviewer said, there are different genres explored in this album, but the record is absolutely coherent and not a hodgepodge of sounds. One of the highlights of the extreme! Deluxe!!!! choice for new generation a song useful for catching your breath?!!!? what are you saying, maybe it’s the most engaging and the most pog-worthy!!!!

At The Gates are rooted in melodic death, just like Carcass with Heartwork, but in the end, at least conceptually, they're different bands. Plus, At The Gates only made one album with a similar sound, so giving the throne to them seems exaggerated; they are indeed the godfathers of the genre! I repeat, I think Dark Tranquillity did better. Then Cycociccio, in the comments, you wrote that the other albums have poor productions that don't do justice to the compositions. I don’t think so at all; we aren't talking about a black metal album! In every Dark Tranquillity album prior to this one that I've listened to, all the sounds were wonderfully clear. In fact, a song like "Punish My Heaven" has become one of the best songs by Dark, precisely thanks to the production that managed to give great power to the piece!

Hi Perentorius, that's exactly what I meant, in fact when I referred to them as Americans, I meant it in the general sense of the term as the American continent, which also includes Canada. Therefore, the last sentence is general in nature and refers to prog or similar prog in general from the American continent: Kansas, Rush, etc.

Great Mahler!!!! My favorite classical music composer. Out of the symphonies (I only have two), I slightly prefer the fourth, but still, this is a splendid composition that cannot be disputed!

Really great album. The combination of growled and clean vocals works very well, and the inclusion of the female voice is anything but taken for granted or trivial; rather, it adds that extra touch to the compositions. Many of the best tracks by Dark Tranquillity are on this album. "There in" is beautiful!
