Lana Wachowski Matrix Resurrections
Voto:
The only one among the comments who understood anything is puntinicaz. A bold film about the disaster of remakes, reboots (there's even a poster that says "eat this shit"), about the collapse of pop culture, about the crushing cultural routine of our times. True cinephiles appreciated it, while others will find it boring, and some will enjoy the fan service of the latest Spiderman, of which this Matrix is the antithesis.
Martin Scorsese Fuori Orario
Voto:
One of Scorsese's most underrated masterpieces, personally in his top 3.
Ari Aster Midsommar
Voto:
A personal and even more post-modern version of the great film "The Wicker Man," to which this is absolutely not inferior. A true masterpiece.
Lina Wertmüller Io speriamo che me la cavo
Voto:
a cult from when I was younger, a film that is still relevant today and even touching. Very close in every sense to Joe Strummer's beautiful and heartfelt review.
Paul Thomas Anderson Licorice Pizza
Voto:
Very beautiful and nostalgic, even though nothing transcendent. Magnolia and Boogie Nights are still far away, and I consider them the true masterpieces of the director.
Paolo Sorrentino È stata la mano di Dio
Voto:
Anyway, watch Young Pope because it’s worth it.
Paolo Sorrentino È stata la mano di Dio

this good review has the fact of having started a discussion full of insults and nice stuff, in short, the always legendary Debaser old school from the golden days, so well done punisher, even though I’m sure I will have a different opinion of the film when I see it, also because apart from "this must be the place," I have always liked Sorrentino, even in "loro" which objectively may not be that great but has many great moments within.
Jean Luc Godard Pierrot le fou
Voto:
The only film I've seen by Godard, full of brilliant ideas, but I realized that maybe he’s not a director that resonates with me; I’ll skip the rating, which would be three stars.
Oliver Stone The Doors
Voto:
This film is simply a staging of the music of The Doors, recreating the atmospheres and visions that their music evokes, a kind of music video in the best sense, so I would be less critical even when thinking of various Bohemian Rhapsody or Rocket Man, which are infinitely inferior to this. The sequence of "In the End" is magical and Oliver Stone is one of the greats of cinema. As for Val Kilmer, even the critics of the film admit that he is absolutely perfect; I think we can all agree on that.
Michelangelo Antonioni La Notte
Voto:
Masterpiece, a sort of dark "la dolce vita" without the baroque (in a positive sense) style of Fellini, although in my opinion among the films of the trilogy "l'eclisse" remains the best.
