So, the review is incredibly detailed and knowledgeable as usual.
I used to have Clouds on vinyl and mistakenly thought it was more black than gothic.
Anyway, it's an album I've never loved. I found it a bit gaudy right from the cover.
I completely agree about Wildhoney. Together with Wolfheart and Mandylion, I think it's the best of a certain type of more melodic and passionate gothic metal (not considering the other classic albums of the more funereal and doom gothic of Anathema, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, and Amorphis).
This A deeper Kind of Slumber, like Clouds, I've never loved, even though some consider it a classic.
Paradoxically, I prefer the more recent albums to Him, even though I have to admit that my 5 for Judas Christ is a bit exaggerated and the result of a superficial listening.
