But I didn't say that you said the LCs always play the same music, but I thought I understood that you compared them to Evanescence. My mistake, pardon.

I'm sorry Wolf, but what you wrote might be considered the most stupid comment ever seen on this site. Jews in Norway who boycotted Burzum? This is truly nonsensical... I don't question musical tastes, but one should have the decency not to spread nonsense devoid of any historical or social basis.

Hi Sen, but look, I never said that Cristina's songs and those of her associates are all the same... I simply shared my thoughts about the similarity of many of their songs. And I repeat, I quite like Lacuna; if it weren't for the fact that they're becoming too Americanized (by the way, they will be touring with Red Zombie) and straying from European sounds, I would like them even more.
The limitation of this album, in my opinion, is that they made it thinking more about the American market (where they're definitely getting noticed) than the European one. Moreover, I strongly contest what Ji implied, as I believe that Lacuna Coil (already on the scene for several years) have absolutely nothing to do with that commercially manufactured jam that is Evanescence.
One last thought: I don't find it fair that there are many detractors who, as long as a band is not achieving commercial success, are always ready to defend them, only to throw them in the mud (most of the time unjustly) once they reach a minimum level of popularity. In any case, the hard judgment is up to you.

Rereading it, I can't help but wonder if I've already read it somewhere...
Well, maybe I'm mistaken, anyway, hello everyone.

The review is very superficial, just mentioning Our Truth. The album (which comes out today, by the way) I listened to doesn't seem bad to me. The flaw that has always characterized Coil, in my opinion, is that after a few listens, they tire you out due to the similarity of the songs. This Karmacode seems good after a few listens, even though this time the choice leans more towards Korn than Katatonia, and I find this choice debatable. The cover of Depeche Mode is, then, definitely tacky. But I repeat, it seems like a good album, more powerful than Comalies. I respect Lacuna Coil, the criticism is up to you.

I apologize to everyone, the Faith album (which contains Epic) is obviously The Real Thing. Regards.

Recently purchased. The first two songs, namely The Ghost and According to Plan if I’m not mistaken, are beautiful. If the album maintained those levels, it would be magnificent, but unfortunately, it loses its way partly due to the instrumental tracks that break the intensity of the record.

I’ll briefly intervene to say that I really love Faith (in my opinion, their best album remains Epic) and to mention another great band from the 90s that, in my view, has been forgotten too early, namely Mind Funk.

I completely agree with the thoughts written between the lines (well, not really to be honest ;D) about the music scene of the period. As always, a very technical and precise review (so much so that it makes me wonder if you might actually be a journalist). I started listening to some test songs from GW, and I must say they have indeed left a good impression on me. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up making a purchase soon…
