Yes Ugly, that's exactly it.
A few clarifications for the kind friend mentioned above:
if you read my posts carefully, I wrote that After Dark contains only some gags between Phil, Diamond, and Steele; I never said it was a jam session between the two groups.
Then, it’s true that in the first part of After Dark they’re just talking nonsense, but in the second part, they do that between clips of their performance at the WOA.
Having spent around £30,000 for the purchase of After Dark, I don't think I'll spend 25 Euros for a duplicate, that's all.

Oops, I almost forgot Tobi's Edguy and the Bendictum, which by the way I also reviewed. How careless..

Bavo Vin, the day you chose for the Gods with Leppard, Whitesnake, Amorphis, Stratovarius, Helloween, Sonata Arctica (great band) (I don't remember the others) is definitely the best one, and I would have chosen that too. Personally, I won't be there due to personal and logistical commitments (I'm from the deep south).

Of classic Hard Rock, my favorite band remains Def Leppard. Songs like Animal and Hysteria are heartbreaking and hard to forget.

To respond to Ronnie, I loved Judas up to Painkiller (an immense album)... I only have The Crimson Idol by WASP on vinyl, which is truly an excellent concept. However, for some time now, I’ve drifted a bit away from hard rock and classic heavy metal, and I'm mainly listening to gothic (both rock and metal), darkwave, and related genres. Great bands like Katatonia, Moonspell, Anathema, Paradise Lost, Amorphis, Third and the Mortal, etc., certainly deserve recognition. Not to mention the dark bands from the past like the Sisters of Mercy (my favorites), Mission, Sound (more wave than dark), Clan of Xymox (more electronic than dark), and many others. In the power metal realm, although criticized by many for becoming commercial, I really like Nightwish, especially because of the melodies from keyboardist Holopainen.

Another great drummer whose death went almost unnoticed: Randy Castillo.

Well, in my opinion, the two voices are different. Freddy's voice is fuller and more inclined towards low sounds, while Rob excels in high notes (I repeat, listen to Painkiller to believe it). One thing that unites them does exist, but it's related to the sexual preferences of the two. For those who don't know, Halford, who was considered by many a symbol of metal machismo, is gay.

Of course I’m with you, what I enjoy the most about this site is that you can discuss with knowledgeable people who love more or less the same genres, and this is a big novelty for me, since I was used to hearing friends talk only about U2 and Vasco Rossi.
Give me a shout if you need anything.

Well, even Halford and Gillan have now lost their vocal cords due to the obvious limit of age. But in my opinion, even at their best, Tate's voice doesn't even come close to Halford's (listen to Painkiller to believe) and Gillan's (listen to, among others, Made in Japan and Born Again).

Personally, I'm not much of a fan of Floyd, but I believe I have to say that when it comes to innovation and musical creation, the PF are in a league of their own, and anyone with a bit of intellectual and musical honesty cannot deny it, regardless of what one listens to.
