Okay, bye...

Well, my friend, if you've written something that is far from a review, it’s certainly not my fault. Take all the constructive criticism you've received as motivation to do better next time instead.

BS are not thrash, obviously.

So Sanjuro, if you mean the metal referred to by some as True, I agree that the current scene is lacking in ideas (however, I redirect you to the politically charged and angry Thraash Bay era of the early Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Exodus, the Suicidal Tendencies of the great Mike Muir, or whatever, to Black Sabbath), etc. This type of metal has fallen out of favor, unfortunately, in favor of another type that I don't like at all and I agree that I find it claustrophobic (various Slipknot, System of a Down, etc.).
If, instead, you refer to metal in general, you demonstrate a lack of knowledge of the genre because saying that excellent bands like Katatonia, Opeth, The Gathering, Moonspell, Amorphis, Anathema, Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Cathedral, Nightwish, Therion, Tiamat, etc., sound claustrophobic is definitely not true and is a sign, as I've already said, of a poor understanding of the genre.
That's why I don't like that you throw around pronouncements left and right about reviews of bands you don't like, such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, and GNR, without providing any reasoning. You like hardcore? Great! I also enjoy some things and others a bit less. But I wouldn't dream of trashing a band that I know little about without valid reasons. No hard feelings, of course..
Anyway, a really nice review.

Finally, and then I'll leave you alone, I think that my friend Mayhem was referring in the opening statement where he described Manowar as not being exceptional compared to other ill-suited bands, more to groups like Opeth than to DT.

By the way Ocram, please don't take it the wrong way, I can understand your voting on the record, but the fact that you downvote (negatively) the review with every one of your comments strikes me as bad taste towards those who hold a different opinion than yours.

Not all Mayhem, if you notice, I gave 1.5 not to the album, but to the band in general (my personal opinion, of course) and 4 to your review.
Then the simplistic conclusions with which some claim "then listen to prog" are really just a waste of time...

I respect everything that Ocram and the others have said.
However, I have one point to make when you say that songwriting doesn't make metal (and, therefore, you implicitly say it's not important).
In my opinion, that's not true at all.
Of course, I also like bands that surely don't excel in sophisticated lyrics, but don't make the mistake of thinking that lyrics aren't important; otherwise, you give way to those who hate the genre to believe that metal is just crap and nonsense like castles, dragons, antichrists, goats, and similar bullshit.
Blackmore's Night The Village Lanterne

The medieval creature from Blackmore does not excite me at all. I find them quite repetitive and fundamentally boring. As for this album, I've listened to it and nothing stuck with me. The only possibly interesting song (more due to Candice Night's vocals) is the cover of Child in Time. Anyway, the review is good.
