Sud Sound System Acqua Pe Sta Terra

You should come visit my area. The incidence of cancer-related deaths is far higher than the national average (a generous gift from the fumes of our dear Ilva, just steps away from the city, which has both fed and killed us), a port that is intended to be exploited as a storage facility for NATO's nuclear submarines, a landfill just a stone's throw from home, and now they are discussing installing a regasification plant. And yet, despite it all, they continue to talk about tourism and development. Pathetic, truly pathetic.

Ege, I take the liberty to intervene because I am against any generalization.
It's obvious that everyone speaks based on their own experiences, and there's little to argue about that.
As for my experience, I can assure you that I have found our fellow citizens on the shores between the two seas to be much more afflicted by provincialism than any other compatriot.
I say this having lived in Bari for four years, during which I met boys and girls from all over the region and, of course, having become familiar with all the nuances of our townsfolk (I mean mine and Ege's).
I can assure you that I found many more difficulties in socializing with our people compared to any other guy, whether he was from Salento, Murgia, or elsewhere.
Having never lived in Salento, I can't say how things actually are there, but I can confidently state (and Ege knows this) that all the evils of provincialism and the petty and arrogant aspects of certain people (in this sense, the humbler folks seemed much more, how can I say, progressive compared to the many posers I see out and about in the evening at the clubs) are absolutely part of my beloved fellow citizens.
Then I fully endorse everything you said about Negramaro and Sud Sound System, both detestable.

Damn, just woke up before facing another day and I already find all these comments... thanks!
P.S.: @6+9: just so you know, if you're referring to me, I made it clear that the Green Day song is a photocopy (obviously slowed down) of "Ever fallen in Love" by the Buzzcocks. :)
Have a great day, everyone.

Mama mia Sanjuro, I really don't know how to categorize you.
You're halfway between someone who states things as they are and the usual populist who throws around tirades that seem like stereotypical thoughts from a teenager who considers themselves transgressive and nonconformist but, due to excess, end up being as banal as the things we’re served on television and all the usual Italian clichés about football, soap operas, pizza, pasta, and similar nonsense.
I really don't know what to think of you, sanjù.
Sometimes you seem tough, other times just a banal stereotype.
What is the truth?
Half a vote.

I absolutely agree with Sanjuro. It's cloying and pathetic how many fellow countrymen become patriots, waving the tricolor only during football matches, completely disregarding the concepts of nation, homeland, Italianità, and (as far as I'm concerned) similar nonsense for the rest of their lives. Maximum respect for those who truly believe in these ideals, but all the others who follow the trend and jump on the winner's bandwagon after having, perhaps, previously condemned (rightly, by the way) the corruption in football and the dirty billions circulating around it just make me want to vomit. Furthermore, I find it absolutely disgusting and pathetic that the anthem has been used as a pretext (which, as I wrote before, was composed by a twenty-year-old killed defending the Roman Republic, thus with much nobler intentions than winning a World Cup) to celebrate our Italianità and the patriotism derived from a football match. In my opinion, at most, we could have reviewed "Notti Magiche" by Bennato and Nannini. There you go, perhaps this little song would have been more appropriate for the event. My score for the anthem is 5 for what it historically represented and what it truly embodies. 1 for what it has become in common thought today.

Goffredo Mameli was killed, if I'm not mistaken, precisely by the French, just over twenty years old while defending the Roman Republic of Mazzini and Garibaldi.
There you go, among the many football-related and other clichés, this, in my opinion, needed to be said.
Regards.
Syd Barrett Opel

So: maximum respect for the artist and for all artists, both living and deceased.
But, if I may, I did not really like the review.
It seems too affected and excessively sentimental to me, although this is understandably due to perhaps being a fan of Barrett. Anyway, in my opinion, the tribute made on the homepage by Jim Morrison is much better, more heartfelt and not syrupy.
The closing, then, is the worst part.
I could agree that current music lacks artists of the stature of the aforementioned Barrett, but to identify it entirely with Hilton as a comparison to our decadent musical times seems really exaggerated and absolutely unfair to me.
Let it be clear that I say this as an extreme critic of contemporary music.
But I don't like generalizations, and the closing feels very banal and populist to me.
No hard feelings.

@chupa: to be honest, I personally listen little to the proposals of antmo because I don't know many of the reviewed groups, but that doesn't make me think of myself as a loser. Likewise, I don't consider those who listen to genres I can't stand, like hip hop or dance, to be losers either. Do one thing, read carefully what you wrote and try to be objectively critical of yourself. Because in my opinion, those who say that Italy is a country of losers because Italians have terrible tastes (who decides what bad taste is?) fall into the same superficiality as those who say that genres like metal or punk completely suck. Yours sincerely.

@Chupa: at this hour, I don't want to stir up controversy, but know that I find your post utterly superficial, truly fitting for the Italians you mention.

Here's another one of those usual babbi di minkia who dresses up as a provocateur and shoots invectives from the height of his absolute ignorance.
Nice to rate a record you don't know, huh?
What a smart move.
Ah, we're waiting for you at the threshold. Write your review, since you're giving ones to everyone.
Don't worry, we would appreciate it objectively and not like you are doing.
