But how, Dedo, you like the wave (even if it's dark and not new) and you don't know the Sisters of Mercy? Ouch, ouch...
I might be biased since the SOM are one of my all-time favorite bands, but now to make it up to you, run and listen to First and Last and Always and Floodland at least ;)
I'll make up for it with Japan since I don't know them.

And what do you think of the legendary and phantasmagorical Andrew Eldritch?
(I really like new wave too and Bowie, even though it's not among my passions, he is, of course, a great.)

But, in fact, what I really can't stomach is the comment from doll that I mentioned earlier and which, in my opinion, is an outright insult to the history of hard rock. I respect the tastes of those who like it and I’m not interested in the issues regarding its commerciality. The important thing is not to make truly outrageous comparisons between Alice and what I consider a wannabe and a phony. It's like saying, in my view, that Tiziano Ferro composes intense songs like those of De André. I respect those who listen to Ferro, of course, but such a statement is at the very least ridiculous, n'est-ce pas?

Dedo, you just mentioned my idols from when I was a kid. I haven't listened to them in a while since I'm currently gravitating towards other genres, but they will always have a place in my heart, especially the madman, whose logo I wore on every piece of clothing in high school.

"but if you go fishing for stuff like Antichrist Superstar, that was a badass concept album, definitely aimed at the mass market etc (although certainly not for everyone)..., but capable of ridiculing even the horror theater of good old Alice...".
My god, allow me, doll, I respect your tastes, but in my opinion, you've made a glorious mistake, clearly a result of your limited knowledge of Alice, which a rookie like the revenant Minchios could digest for breakfast and shit out the next morning with his two-colored eyes.

Once again, I completely agree with ajeje's thoughts.
I don't doubt the historical underground importance of Cannibal Holocaust, but Blair kept me firmly glued to my seat in the cinema, while I was just waiting for CB to end because of the disgust it was causing me.
This, in my opinion, is the difference.
Regarding Eastern films, I largely agree with you, although it must be said that they’re also serving us a fair amount of crap with various Cellular, the eye, the call 1 and 2, the grudge 1 and 2, and so on.
As for "the ring," I also concur on this.
Great film, much better, in my opinion, than the Japanese version.
Ajeje, maybe we could watch the very recent Slither together; I've heard it's a fantastic film ;-)

Hi Ege, I was about to ask you a while ago if you had seen the Sound and the Bauhaus when they came to concert around our area in the 80s, but now that I find out we’re almost the same age, I should ask you if you saw Tuxedomoon this winter or Television last summer...

Great Logic, proud supporter of Italian musical taste! ;)
