All About Eve All About Eve

No Odra, maybe you misunderstood my talk about experience.
I meant to say that I expected criticism regarding the tediousness of some songs and the band's overall lack of originality, given that the tracks on the album are heavily influenced by 80s music and don't add much that is different, except for some folk references that I find pleasant, from people knowledgeable about music in general and that period in particular.
Also, mentioning the Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance was not meant as a benchmark, especially because All About Eve offers a distinctly different sound, as you know.
In summary, I wanted to tell you that I expected rather lukewarm opinions on the album and a critique like: 4 stars? Too many (I repeat, especially from the more experienced listeners of that era like, I believe, from reading your comments and some of your reviews, you). I wanted to explain to you that while I am aware of all the criticisms that could be made, I think this album is very good because it matches my current mood.
Maybe in a month I won't like it anymore.
I touched on the subject of experience simply because I am relatively a novice in all music that isn’t metal, which I started listening to and appreciating only in the last three years. Just that, I assure you my post was not intended to be polemical at all, quite the opposite.
As for Regan's fate, I can't help you Odra; I know as much as you do. Have a good Sunday.

I apologize to all the users and especially to the reviewer if I let myself get provoked by that little jerk who calls himself rourke. I promise it won't happen again.

Goodbye, you ugly little piece of shit, your mother's cow says goodbye too. I've wasted far too much time with a little prick like you.

No, it's you who lets your little friends have their way with you in the yard, along with that big slut who gave you life.

Go play with your little friends in the yard if you can't hang out with the adults.

Of course, Freegirl, my frustration was centered around the fact that it could have been conveyed to me in a friendly or at least polite manner that you disagreed with my opinion. But this is something that happens very rarely on this site. Yes, I'm still quite young, not having turned 30 yet (but I’m getting close).

Look Odra, honestly I expected such a critique from you regarding the album I presented, given your experience which is much broader than mine. The point is simple. I’m aware that at certain moments the album can be a bit tedious, but right now there’s nothing better for me. It’s a time where I feel the same way, and the music of this band, but especially Julianne's voice, often accompanies me during these stressful days. At the moment, it's ideal for me to relax, which is why my review wasn't overly technical but rather focused on the sensations. Anyway, I thank you for the pleasant exchange of views. Best regards. P.S.: To give you an idea, my regular listens, besides All About Eve, are Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, and some things by Dan Gibson!!
