Dante, come on, don’t fall into the banal.
You say the reviewer stated things as they are.
Do you really think phrases like "guitar riff in pure rock/metal style interspersed with keyboards," or "creating a very epic gothic atmosphere," or "epic-rock remake," are appropriate for Evanescence?
Well, my friend, let me tell you, if you think that, you have no idea what gothic metal is, contrary to the nonsense that the reviewer is saying things as they are. Regards.

I would like to clarify my comment further to avoid misunderstandings. I did not mean to say that the comparison with the Ramones is irrelevant because the Ramones are better (even though that is beyond question), but that stating the Ramones were the masters of the Sex Pistols is, in my opinion, a mistake. The Stooges for sure, even the Rolling Stones, even Motorhead (Lemmy tried to teach Vicious how to play bass), but the Ramones, absolutely not. I don't even think the Sex Pistols were aware of the Ramones' existence.

But yes, yes, hooray!
Let's give this album a 5, let's write in the genres that this is a record of healthy and old gothic metal.
Yes, yes, everything is very right.

Ramones, Ramones... but what the hell do the Ramones have to do with the Sex Pistols, only you know.
I'm sorry, but I already don't like your professor-like style much.
If you add the ongoing senseless comparison you're making with the Ramones and the fact that there were already several reviews of this album, well, the rating can only be low.
The Sex Pistols? Never really been able to stand them.

Hi Fjell, based on your suggestion, I listened to both this one and Tearstained and Downherted.
The last two are definitely good, while this one, in my opinion, is much less so.
Colder and Deep Water are very beautiful, but the rest I find monotonous and too commercial. Best regards.

Since I was asked to clarify my thoughts, in my comment I was not referring to the user Puniìsher at all. Regards.

Look, I know very well that the Commodores are Lionel Ritchie's band. I just said that Easy should have been written by Lionel as a solo artist. ;)

The reason you focus on the marketability of a band and MTV remains a mystery to me. To avoid misunderstandings, I meant to say that Overkill, in my opinion, are less famous than other more renowned bands simply because they are less skilled. Regards.

You are gradually pushing Poletti out of the spot for the biggest fool on the site. As far as I'm concerned, I like Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine (except for the album you spoke poorly of, which I quite enjoy), and Smashing Pumpkins very little (the latter, to be honest, I don't like at all). My critique is that you are just a poor arrogant know-it-all who has no respect for other people's tastes, and this is a typical attitude of either a spoiled kid or one who thinks he's innovative but is, in reality, just like thousands of others playing tough. Or a fake, and from the way you write, I don't even think it's hard to identify your true identity.
