Sex Pistols Never Mind The Bollocks

Alright, I’ll close the matter as well because honestly, I’m tired of talking to someone who writes that the Ramones aren’t that different from the Pistols. No offense. Bye.

Joe, excuse me, I’m not mad at you, but try to take a clear stance.
You often change your opinion. Now we've come to say that the Ramones taught punk to the Pistols. Bah...
But do you know how the Pistols were born? Do you know that behind them was that visionary manager Malcolm McLaren, the TRUE inspirer and creator of the Pistols?
Do you know that, instead, the Ramones made their way on their own, stealing to buy their instruments?
Tell me, what similarities could there be between two such groups?

It's a bit like saying that Iron Maiden were the masters of Metallica, which is simply not true.

Pretazzo, but I do not argue that there may be points of contact. After all, classic punk is a fairly schematized genre. I argue, and I repeat it again, that the Ramones were NOT the masters of the Sex Pistols. Therefore, I discuss an absolutely and historically unfounded claim.

It's not strictly musical simply because the Ramones have nothing in common with the Sex Pistols, both musically and in terms of ALL other aspects.
A curiosity, Joe: but this supposed descent of the Pistols from the Ramones, is it your impression or did you derive it from somewhere?
It's not a polemic; I just want to understand.
Evanescence The Open Door

Well, it wouldn’t be necessary, but I’ll add one more thing.
Evanescence has NOTHING to do with gothic music.
Especially for those who are well aware of what gothic music really is, of course.

"The Pistols learn the lesson from the Ramones better than the masters themselves and create a blend of wall of guitars and continuous invective, perhaps even more convincing than the American group."
Dear Joe, these words were written by you.
What are you doing, first writing such things and then backtracking?
Anyway, to avoid misunderstandings, I’m not at all unfond of you, far from it. How could I say that if I don’t even know you? I’m not too keen on your somewhat didactic and pompous writing style, but that’s another story, don’t you think?
@Tyler: yes, that’s right, Lemmy tried to teach Syd how to play bass, with results that are evident to everyone :)

Maybe I didn't explain myself well.
The things you say are absolutely correct, no doubt about it.
But I've been saying for three posts that claiming the Ramones were the masters of the Sex Pistols is nonsense. There, I've said it explicitly.
I hope it's clear now. ;)

Okay Pretazzo, but I repeat, the fact that the Sex Pistols were the heirs of the Ramones is absolutely not true. Not only different music, but everything is different, totally different.

I repeat my comment adding a few corrections.
Dante, come on, don't fall into the trivial. You say that the reviewer stated things as they are. Do you really think phrases like "guitar riff in pure rock/metal style interspersed with keyboards," or "creating a very epic gothic atmosphere," or "epic-rock remake" are appropriate for Evanescence? Well, my friend, let me tell you, if you think that, you have no idea what gothic metal is; it's just nonsense that the reviewer says things as they are. Regards.
