Very good album, very good band (perhaps the best young American group), but to even classify it as the most beautiful record since '90 is really an exaggeration.
I really don't like the review, it's too enthusiastic and convoluted, but since the passion with which you write is admirable, I'll refrain from rating it.
I won't rate the album either; I still need to properly digest it.

I had it on vinyl.
I am aware of the historical importance of the album, but I didn't like it, to the point that I gave it to a friend.
But since I'm not really into the genre, I avoid voting for it. Excellent review.

Dave, instead of being a pain in the ass to all the albums and reviewers who aren't pinkfloydian, you'd do well to get out of your home shell a bit more, so you can discover a whole new world filled with people, girls, and everyday life. Another thing: don't be so cute with Core, since anyone who knows the album understands what it means and doesn't vote like a damn idiot (that is, without having listened to the album) as you stupidly did. I'm not usually one to vote for the same album twice, but this time I'll make an exception to counteract the idiocy of this individual. Best regards.

I was aware of Burzum's dementia. Regarding Bard Faust, I read that he was sentenced to 9 years for killing a homosexual. Holy cow, I might just move to Norway; here, if you intentionally kill someone, the minimum they can give you is 24 years in prison (at least according to what’s written in the penal code). The story of the Black Inner Circle with its priests' murderers and Swedish metal competitors is also very interesting. Too bad it’s all over...
