I may not share most of your musical tastes (perhaps we intersect more on jazz), but the depth and refinement of your proposals are undeniable. Less "retrospective" than your latest ones, more personal, and very much appreciated. Who knows, one day I might find myself searching for this John Cale record.

excellent. and they, genius: the hard opening of "Don't Run Our Hearts Around" and the Tafo Mago-style retrofunk of "Druganaut" are worth the ticket on their own.

I got confused: the album that just arrived and I'm referring to above is "Dust & Chimes" by Six Organs Of Admittance. My bad.

well... that says a lot! Aside from the fact that Tokyo has an awesome garage scene, as far as I know, they are really into everything retro. ps. I got the Residual Echoes and ...they're damn acoustic! (acoustic guitars aren't really guitars!) not even an effect, any pedal, not a damn reverb - if they had amplified the guitars with a home intercom it would have been enough for me, but instead nothing! - I can't take it anymore, for now. shelved.

I got the Completes 4 or 5 years ago, practically when the news spread around. Because better than "Funhouse" there are only the 17 identical and different versions of each track from "Funhouse"!!! There's nothing masturbatory, just the Stooges to the nth degree... there's a wonderful article by Monica Kendrick about this in "Rock Pop Jazz e altro" (edited by Nick Hornby) that says: "most of the CDs I receive, from all corners of the musical universe, are a million times more boring than 17 versions of Loose in a row." Well, I agree...
@ Regular: grab this namesake right away, do yourself a favor...

@ psycho: the Complete? let's forget about it, look... you have no idea the stories with the credit card and trying to find it online! I ate eggs and pavesini for two months... for the series: "do you see this eye here? ...it's glass." P.S. I ordered the Residual Echoes, but right now my problem is getting the Spirit on digital format! They're not available in mp3!
