In the meantime, 'chapeau' for proposing one of the most precious box sets in the history of garage-psych-rock. A ton of links (fantastic, thank you). I'll check back next week when I've finished reading. For now, I'll vote for your terrible nickname.

I have "This is It" on CD, a kind of best of released by the legendary label VampiSoul. Heaviest funk and guaranteed pleasure. I had missed this review; it's fantastic. You can also tell that Caz started writing for debaser at 16. What an old-timer.

Well, I'll tell you, I much prefer the reviews on Ondarock, which are truly superior in terms of syntax and style (sic!). I don't know anything and I look them up on the internet because I firmly believe in "think for yourself, download everything and then BUY what you really need!". However, I agree with the less but better principle, which can also be applied to Debaser (if you want). Oh, this morning I started off with the live performance by Funkadelic blasting on my iPod shuffle - blind technology is nice; I think it's what you were saying because it's from 1970/71 - and the day took wonderful and unexpected turns.

beautiful record. Personally, I don't grasp any of your analogies, and the Bowie quote seems at least "alien" to me, but everything is well written, and the proposal deserves it.

"In 1980, Kraftwerk had a cybernetic orgy, Depeche Mode had a techno pop orgy, Throbbing Gristle had an orgy, and that was it." Too funny. This page is really nice. And I just discovered that you wrote a mini-encyclopedia about avant-garde music here on Deb!

Wherever you like, really. Their discography is vast, but here on Debaser you can find a couple of reviews that take a close look at the most significant albums. If you ask for my opinion, "Under the Stress.." (studio) and "At Last" (live, but it's pretty much the same as the studio) are essential.
