Beautiful, I was listening to it again this morning and it was a blast of energy. It's time to revise the rating.

A colleague of mine, listening to it, declared, "Hey! It seems like a crazy mix between Popol Vuh and Grateful Dead! These things have devoured the whole gingerbread house, damn them!"

So, I put the feedback on the drum flurry (brilliant!) to mess up the normalized "What Needs Must Be" and we go to at least 2.5. Then "Keep On Walking," which seems to have come out of Harvest, and the echo-tribal arrangement of "Queen of All Returns," and we’re back to 3.

Moreover, over time they forgot to press hard on the distortions, something they used to do great on Effloresce. Ad maiora.

Great album and they are undoubtedly good, but the songs don't hold up after the first week of listening. Once the surprise effect of the first albums wears off, it seems they get lost in lengthiness and verbosity without much conviction (the guitar solos that are supposed to 'shake' are summed up in 6 notes in total, just thrown in). Exaggeratedly exaggerated 5 stars. Really.

Damn, how sensitive are you, dude! The centripetal "Till Kingdom Come" (a march with a circular riff and psychedelic nooks a la Pink Floyd) and the beautifully bucolic "Seven Seers" are worth the third star. Let me defend this record, I paid 19 euros for it.

The Historical Atlas. That is to say, in general, your ability to describe profiles and contextualize them is astounding. You are the musical cartographer of Debaser, there’s nothing to be done...

"current" not "correct". What did you drink this morning, the Toilet Duck? Come on, you get it. ps. I don't mind jazz-tribaloid at all, I'll look for it.
