Tom Waits Blue Valentine

What a lovely pair of Tom Waits on a Wednesday morning. The review is quite enjoyable to read until the part describing the songs. Well done in any case. And well done to your dad, too.

Yes, yes, I can dance for a thousand hours in a row. But not always with the Ramones in my ears, please! :p

Here we go, we’re already three! I think one bottle won’t be enough.

Anyway, the prize is ready, vivis. A bottle of Cannonau from 2003 on the condition that we drink it together.

Ghemison, I enjoy listening to a song, two is fine, by the third one (which is the same as the first) I start getting annoyed like a fan at the beginning of Apocalypse Now. But after a while, it really grates on me, and the reason is that there’s nothing behind this music. Another example. Let’s take Dream Theater; they bore me to death for the opposite reason. Virtus in medio stat(?). Anyway, I'll listen to a dance track with "hey! Ho, Let's go!"!

one simple phrase: "two balls." And that's fine for the punk movement, and that's fine for what it represented, and it's fine to be alternative, and it's fine to spit anger (which, by the way, they didn't even do), but here we are faced with a couple of idiots who couldn't hold a guitar properly. As I read somewhere, "rock 'n' roll is a blues played at maximum energy, punk is a rock 'n' roll played BADLY." Let's be honest, who has ever managed to listen to the Ramones for 3 hours straight? Tell me because I’ll give them a prize.

I don't like the "idyllic" descriptions you've made. The album is truly impressive. I've listened to AirTap a billion times. Brilliant.

I've always been terrible at remembering who plays where, with this one separating from that one and after that comes etc. But I know Sleep well enough that I managed to enjoy Dopesmoker. Which is no small feat. So if we're in the same kind of doomy-noisy-stoney madness, then I'll probably like them too. Good recommendation, but let's say you could have put in a bit more effort!
