Adriano Celentano Dormi Amore - La Situazione Non E' Buona

@Bede: I believe there are other musically relevant things in the world that are not Iron Maiden and Celentano. Not to take anything away from Iron Maiden, they're pretty much done now, and in this "review container" that is Debaser, there are already at least 70 reviews of Iron Maiden. That's why I said "not Iron Maiden." @cece: beautiful! Great Bowie, he was even too kind.

@Bede: no please, not Iron Maiden. Almost better than Celentano. The criticisms aren't directed at you but at the subject in question. @lizzy: in this case, you can't separate the character from the singer. Especially when Celentano himself doesn't do it with his show-promotion for the album. I've heard snippets of the album: unlistenable. Stuff that my 3-year-old cousin could write, play, and sing. Clichés galore. I repeat: stuff!

The beauty of DeBaser is that it doesn't make you feel alone in the world. I agree with Poletti's analysis, which is ultimately very objective. But the city evolves. With a decent urban plan, even skyscrapers aren't so bad. And a well-designed building can "uplift" an area all by itself. Let's be honest, Celentano is an average man who has the luck to say what he thinks and to understand what people want to hear. We need to find enemies to fight, and he finds them for us. Now, after shoveling some muck on architects, he'll go after politicians, then engineers... but NEVER on the church that made him powerful and famous. Italy has two underlying problems: the mafia (not just cosa nostra or the camorra, but the entire Italian mafia [kickbacks, favors, and various crap]) and... the Vatican! If we don't get rid of them, we will never grow.

By the way: when has Celentano ever made beautiful music? Average music for the average person saying average things. All seasoned with an unbearable air of superiority and seen through the lens of communion and liberation. If a God exists, He should free us from these things.

Hello maledimeledelmiele :). No bad day, just the "upcoming exam effect." In fact, my comment was a bit caustic, but it wasn't essentially directed at you. I only took inspiration from the fact that you mentioned architects. It's undeniable that in Italy there is a crisis from a political-ideological point of view, and many people tend to idolize people who are not really idols (see Celentano). As for architects: there are architects and architects. I am an engineer, so I should be against architects by default, but I assure you that some modern works are fantastic. Look at the Petronas Towers, look at the Sydney Opera House, look at the new stadium being built in Beijing, look at the one in Munich (the Allianz Arena). Saying that the monstrosities present in Italy (but ultimately all over the world) are the fault of architects seems exaggerated and at least "populist." It's an easy scapegoat to find. Take a look at the websites of famous architects and see for yourself... some things are pure art! I still say that all the junk by the sea or in places that should have been preserved was not created by architects because "they like it that way," but rather built due to choices driven by interest. A building can be modern and beautiful, or old and ugly. Some houses that people insist on preserving as "cultural heritage" are truly hideous, just as hideous as some concrete drips by the sea. But this idiot has the chance to preach from the heights of his ignorance; he probably doesn't even know who Renzo Piano is!

But let's stop saying bullshit. We are a people in need of spiritual guidance; we are worse than fundamentalist Muslims. At least they follow the imams. Who do we follow? Grillo, who tells everyone to f*** off, that other idiot who spouts sermons nonstop, the pope who every other day comes up with crap against abortion, the pill, condoms, sex. Now, assuming that one cannot agree with all three of the aforementioned subjects. Assuming that Celentano is the imaginary thread connecting the pope and Grillo. Given all this: let’s wake up. Architects are the ruin of Italy. ENORMOUS BULLSHIT! Architects have brought glory to Italy; they made us great. What do we want to do? Keep everything as it was in the Middle Ages? Mud houses, city walls, cobblestones! Sure, that’s fine in some places, but the world must progress and we must progress with it! The problem isn’t the architects but the way contracts are handled (on the cheap and given to the most connected one (or to whoever pays the most bribes)). Celentano, to put it bluntly: he’s being a pain in the ass! I just hope he opens someone’s mind and that this someone then realizes that what Celentano says isn’t pure gold! Just as what Grillo, Benigni, etc. say isn’t either. I give him a 1 just for his arrogance. Singer, Actor, Author, Preacher... definitely a 1!

Beautiful Odra, I see you back at very high standards. Here we are truly digging into the roots of the blues! Everything is very nice, although I believe that such a gem is hard to find through average channels. Let’s see... saludos

I have to admit that I abandoned C,S,N&Y after the mid-70s. I don’t know why I can’t connect with their more recent works. Anyway, DonJunio is a guarantee. If you’re interested in the west coast... call him. From Casteddu with fury! Bye Don!
